Real men wear clip on ties!

They come in every color and pattern.  They are a quick on and off. They dress up a plain white dress shirt and they are just the right size for my very confident tween.

Jarred has always been confident and as a mom, I just love that quality about him.  He is who he is. He likes what he likes. He doesn't care if someone else doesn't like it.  He is just himself.

Short hair?  No.
Long hair?  Yes!
Only kid in the school with long hair?  Almost.
People asking him all the time when he's gonna cut his hair?  Yes.
Wrestling coaches telling him to cut it? Yes.

This is Jarred taking advantage of the wind to pose like Wolverine.

So is it a surprise that he wears and likes clip on ties even though all the other wrestlers on away day games are wearing long ties? No.

Does he get asked about why on earth he's wearing a clip on tie? Yes.

Does he care? No.

As a mom, I think it's important to encourage our children's individuality.  I love the fact the Jarred has the confidence to be the person he is and love it.
